The building and land, which now stands as the Victoria Square Community Hall was a donation from Stephen Roman, who owned the farm and land where the hall is now located.
The building was used as the mess hall at Falconbridge Nickel Mines in Sudbury and was no longer needed. He donated it to Victoria Square on the condition that the men from the community travel north to the mine to dismantle the building and transport to Victoria Square. It was erected, as it had been in Sudbury.
The hall consists of a large and small hall available to rent for individuals, groups, or organizations. The large hall has access to a kitchen to be used for warming purposes only. Please go to Rental Information for more information.
